Mary
Milne is a Montreal artist who has studied in New York,
Mexico,
Montreal, and Toronto. She has
exhibited in Montreal, Washington, and various
Quebec locations. Mary draws primarily in charcoal, conté,
graphite and pastel, with an emphasis on
texture and nuance. She paints in acrylic and
oil emphasizing color. Her works are expressive with a
contemporary bent. She tries to capture
the character of her subject, not only the physical
appearance. Thus a portrait for instance is an exploration of
the personality and what he or she
exudes and not just a cosmetic image.
