-
Your artist of choice.
You may select the option "Artist to be Selected by ArtPiazza"
if you want us to make that selection for you. Please notice the
difference between a portraitist/painter and a caricaturist. Some
artists may be doing both types of work.
-
Your color type of
choice. Here again, please notice for the distinction
between color types specific to a painting and to a caricature.
-
Opt for a caricature
or a portrait/painting by
checking one of the two corresponding radio buttons. According to
this selection, please make your choice of the number of figures to
appear in your artwork, if it is different from the default option
in the drop-down menu.

Paper size, paper type and paper color (e.g.
white, gray etc.):
Our artwork prices are independent of the paper size. In most cases, it
is not to the client to decide what will be the size of the
drawing, unless the commissioned artwork is of a substantial value.
Drawing sizes, as well as paper types and paper colors, may
vary form artist to artist and according to the type of the artwork.
It is generally up to the artist to decide what the appropriate
paper size, as well as paper color and type, to use for each specific
illustration. This may depend, among other things, on image size, if the
portrait has to show the face only or also the waists, number of figures
to appear in the drawing, hair color, eye color and complexion of the
subjects, etc.
The artist regularly chooses the appropriate size for the artwork based
on artistic considerations and on each artist's preferences.
Most single-figure, or even two-figure, shoulder-high face
portrait sizes are approximately 16" X 20" (40cm X 50
cm). This is the regular size for most caricatures as well. Smaller
paper sizes may be applicable, though we tend to indicate in the site if
a certain artist has preference for an 8" X 11" paper size.
